Bodegon (Spanish: bodegón from bodega «tavern, tavern»; bodegones ) refers to a historical genre of painting in which everyday objects are drawn or are in the center of the image of food.
Bodegons are divided into two main types: — still lifes (usually ascetic, on a neutral background); — depiction of scenes in a tavern, on the street, in a shop, with the participation of a small number of characters (mostly commoners), combining elements of a domestic scene and a still life.
